why does eye makeup look ridiculous on me?
i simply cannot wear eye makeup like some people can and look good. why is this? i know how to put it on,...i've also had girls put it on me at the mall at the Chanel and MAC counters and still it looks funny. it only looks okay if i use one lighti color all over the lid. i can't do multiple colors and do the dark in the crease stuff. any suggestions or comments?
depends on your face and eye shape. also on how old you are. really heavy eyeshadow looks weird on young or young looking girls. i have a bit of that problem myself. i'm kinda gothy, but i can't pull off super heavy eye makeup (at least not the way most girls can). i usually have to stick to a little bit of a darker color at the edges of my eyes, very slightly blended towards the middle, with a very light shade at the middle of my eye and in the inside corners. i compensate by very slightly lining my upper lid with a bit of the same eyeshadow color and then applying liquid eyeliner over that. i only line my lower lids at the very outer corners usually.
