Eyes Make-Up

To Apply Eye Shadow:

The most important aspect of applying eye shadow that makes your eyes stand out is to choose the right colours for eyes. It is always necessary that use at least two to three shades of eye shadow to bring out the best of your eyes. And always begin with the basic browns or neutrals as this colour suits everyone. Following good results at this, you can try your hand with more dramatic effects and colours. For the most basic application, you must use three shades from the same colour. Apply the lightest shade from the crease of your eyelid towards the brow. The medium shade to the eyelid and the darkest shade to the crease itself. Always use a brush to apply the eye shadow fro best results. Now after the application, gently blend the three shades to give a natural appearance. For a more dramatic effect, apply the shadow using a wet brush. This highlights the colour. Line the region just below the brow with a slightly metallic shadow and blend to get a shine. This tip works even while applying coloured shadow.

Now, for applying coloured eye shadow, always use the lighter shade on the eye lid and darker shade towards the ends and blend to highlight you eyes the right way.

For giving your eyes that smoky effect, use black eyeliner to outline your eyes. Next, gently smudge the liner at the ends to give a softer look. Then apply a little black eye shadow around the lined eyes and merge gently. Apply grey shadow to your eyelids neutralised by browns and blend the black and grey shades. This gives your eyes the perfect smoky look!

To Apply The Eye Liner:

Next, apply the eye liner of desired colour. On most occasions it would be black. But for more exotic effects try deep blue, purple or green. Apply the liner (most preferably liquid liner, but even kohl can be used) above your upper eye lashes making a slightly thicker at the centre. Next, apply below your lower lashes. But make sure that you apply it lightly here.

Tip: Eye Brow Care

To give your eye brow the perfect shape, line the lower region of your brow with a white pencil and blend. Choose an eye brow pencil of your hair colour and use according to the thickness of your brows. If you have light coloured hair, use a colour that is a shade or two darker than your hair colour to help highlight your brows. Use a brow brush to give finishing touch and get the perfect eye brows.
