MAKE-UP TIPS

To Apply Foundation:

Now, to apply the foundation, always make sure you apply it to a well moisturised and cleaned face as told before because doing so prevents patches or streaking of make-up. Apply the foundation using a slightly wet sponge or using your finger tips to the required areas. Now, blend the foundation to the areas between your face and ears, your hairline, neck to jaw line, and from your jaw line to your cheek bone. Once you are done evenly blending the foundation, remove all excess powder using a large brush to make your face the perfect canvas for stunning make-up!

But if your skin has acne or acne-prone, avoid using a sponge or your finger tips to apply the foundation as this can harbour harmful bacteria that only increases the acne.

Use a foundation brush he foundation instead.

To Apply Concealer:

In case of blemished skin, use an oil free concealer to hide them. Apply the concealer to the required spot and then blend using a concealer brush. Blend it in such a way that it merges with your foundation.

Now, use either loose powder or a compact to top up your foundation. While loose powder can be used for day time make-up, compact can be used for both day and night occasions. Apply the compact or loose powder on the t-zone of your face, that being your forehead and nose. Never forget to include your jaw line, ears and neck while applying make-up as forgetting them can let out your make-up and make you look bad. Use a big brush to dust off all excess powder on your face. Concealers are used excessively to conceal dark circles under the eyes.

Tip:

You can use a bronzer for highlighting your features and making your skin look sun kissed. But always remember to use very little as little is better than lots. In case of a liquid bronzer (ideal for dry skin), dab a little amount to your sponge and apply lightly to your cheek bone, nose and chin. Now gently rub it in the circular upwards direction to get that sun-touched glow! While using powder based bronzer (ideal for oily skin), apply using a big brush to the above mentioned areas in a similar manner till you get the natural glow. The most important point to remember here is how to choose the shade of your bronzer. Always choose one that is a shade or two darker than your skin tone. Bronzers can make round faces appear slimmer. The trick to do so would be to apply a slight shade of bronzer along the length of your neck on either sides to make your neck appear longer and thus your face appear slimmer.
