Is Making Money Online Without A Website A Myth?
Everybody older than a teenager is trying to make a decent living or to improve their present job and financial situation. While pondering options late at night, when your financial needs start growing into mental monsters, your mind will probably start thinking about making money online.
The first thing you might consider is what you could sell to your customers. Perhaps you don't know how to write an ebook or how to program software and all you've got to sell on eBay is several pairs of old socks. Before you just give up and quit dreaming about a better, more secure life, consider some real options.
The easiest and fastest way to start making money on the Internet is to become an affiliate for several hot-selling information products or for major offline retailers. The coolest thing is that you don't have to have a website or a blog, which avoids domain, hosting and design fees. You also don't have to worry about customer support.
An affiliate makes liberal commissions for sending traffic (buyers) to other seller's products. Those commissions can be 50% of purchases made by the traffic you send to the seller's site. Sometimes the commissions can be more or less and they depend solely on what the seller wants to offer. Make sure you check everything thoroughly before committing to become an affiliate for any product. Read all the fine print in the affiliate agreement for each company you select.
So, how do you get started as an affiliate?
First, realize that your total job as an affiliate is to drive traffic to your seller's website. After that, it's a numbers game. You can find ratios in any marketing textbook and on the Internet that will tell you how many potential customers will actually buy the product they are looking at. Those numbers are mostly educated guesses.
Next, list your most passionate interests. What do you like to spend your free time doing? Make a list of three or four of your passions. They do not have to be related. If your life revolves around sports, look for affiliate products in a few different sports activities.
Search the Internet with Google, or any other major search engine, using your interests (keyword) as the search term. You will generate a long list of websites concerned with the terms you entered. Check out the products being offered to see if they have an affiliate program. Most of the time, the affiliate link will be in the footer or near the bottom of the page. Some will be in the linked tabs at the top of blogs or websites.
When you find an affiliate product that interests you, check out their tools and guidelines that will help you do your job: driving traffic to their site. Any serious marketer with a real affiliate option is truly interested in helping you make money, so they can make money. It's a win-win situation.
Before you leap in and start promoting any affiliate program, make sure that you understand the payment structures and the actual percentage of your commissions. You are looking for quick commission payments that are not held back for several months before you get paid.
Your last step in this process of making money online without a website is making decisions about how you are going to market your affiliate products. First, put your affiliate links in all your email signatures. You never know who will see the link and click on it.
Next, find related forums or membership sites related to your interests. Join and put your links in your signature there, too, but make sure the site allows it before doing it.
Become a responsible member before directly marketing in forums or membership sites, by helping other members with problems and freely providing good information for their use. In short, be creative and a responsible affiliate marketer if you want to be successful at working from home.
