Lip-liner
Lip stick or Lip gloss

To look presentable and good, it is very important that you know what colour suits you the best and also to be able to recognize your best facial features. Colour co-ordination is another important aspect without which even the best products or techniques can play spoil-sport on your face! Next, you should be able to recognize the products that suit your skin, skin type, skin colour, skin problems and of course your budget! And always have your sense of make-up. Make a style statement. Be a trend-setter. Imitation is suicide!! So, make sure you’re not trying to copy someone else’s style. Be original and carry out what you’ve got with attitude and confidence!

To begin with, always make sure you wash your face before applying make-up to give you that fresh look and also to remove your make-up because, after all, your skin needs to breathe after a make-up session of cosmetics which are nothing but chemicals. Cleansing should thus play a very vital role in your daily make-up regime.

Secondly, you must use a good toner to tone your skin as your skin is subject to a lot of pollution, stress, etc. Toning also provides to be a very good base for make-up and gives you long lasting effects.
Next, you must moisturise your face with a gentle moisturiser with sun control (s.p.f can be according to your place you live in. But the most appropriate s.p.f would be 15.) This helps to soften your skin and gives your skin a texture that can easily absorb the foundation you apply, which again helps your make-up stay longer.
Cleansing, toning and moisturising are thus the most vital aspects of a good make-up session!
Now moving on to the actual make-up part, any good make-up session begins with the right foundation. Those belonging to the fairer sex almost always have yellow based skin tones. And even if they don’t, a yellow based foundation is any time better that a pink based or orange based one. A yellow based foundation gives you a very natural skin tone and makes your make-up look natural instead of giving you a very patchy and caked-up face!

In case of:

Oily Skin – try a dry foundation that will help to reduce the shine and not make your skin look oilier.
Dry Skin – choose a moisturiser based foundation that will give your face that extra tinge of glow.
Scarred Skin – this could be due to acne or any other skin problem. Then you must go in for a foundation that includes salicylic acid, benzyl peroxide or related medications to suit your problem respectively. Also choose a thicker foundation.
Normal Skin – choose a good foundation that provides the perfect balance of colour and effect to make you look special!
